Question

I also asked this on Twitter, but as I'm (oddly) genuinely curious:

What's the checkout limit (for books and/or for everything all together) at your local library?

  1. At the library I work at, you can have 20 total items out at a time. It can be a combination of several things - you can have 5 audiobooks, 3 of each type of DVD (G, 11, and 18) for a total of 9, and 2 playaways (I think). Anywho, it's a pretty nice pile. Everything checks out for 2 weeks, except for the DVDS, which stay out for 3 days. You can also renew items twice if there are no holds on them.
