. . . Really? You need more of a reason? Okay then:

I love the three novels and two anthologies of Stephanie Perkins' that I have already read and Lola and the Boy Next Door is still one of my absolute favorite books. Plus, I like a horror story - including those that are like the 90's teen slasher movies, but in book form!

Then there's what the author said about it on her blog:

And as odd as this may sound, it's not actually that different from my other books! There's still an intriguing boy, making out, self-awareness, and plenty of friends chatting and eating and gossiping together.

There just also happens to be a serial killer and lots and lots of death. Ha!

(And while I get that cover may not really be the cover, I actually like it. It's like it's SHOUTING a very dire warning right at you.)
