Stylista (TV Show) ~ Book Rec

I keep forgetting to actually do this (a great accomplishment I know with all the 'Elle Alerts' I get on my phone), but...

If you've been enjoying (or even having any amont of fun watching any of Stylista on the CW (the show's description via CW.com: If "The Devil Wears Prada" were a reality show, it would be "Stylista." Eleven aspiring fashion enthusiasts vie for a much-coveted editorial job with Elle magazine. They work as assistants to Elle's Fashion News Director, Anne Slowey...) then I think I have a book recommendation.

The Interns: Fashionistas and the second book The Interns: Truth of Fashion both by Chloe Walsh are abotu four girls (Ava, Callie, Nadine, and Aynsley) who 'win' an internship at Couture magazine. Callie, Nadine, & Ava are in it out of ambition...Aynsley's the socialite there because her mother, a close friend of the magazine editor, is making her. She'd much rather be on her usual European vacation to their villa.

From the parties to figuring out how not kill each other while somehow getting their assignments done (sometimes while hungover), The Interns: Fashionistas was a fun book to read (I read it back in the spring but I seem to remember telling FirstLook it was akin to The Hills-back when they worked at the magazine- meets Gossip Girl--there's a Fashionistas blog with someone secret dishing on everyone in blog posts between chapters). I haven't read Truth or Fashion yet but I do have it on my shelf and play to read it very soon :)

If you know someone who likes Stylista or The Devil Wears Prada...or Gossip Girl (books or show), or The Hills or Melissa Walker's Violet series..then I really do recommend The Interns books Fashionistas and Truth or Fashion by Chloe Walsh. (Right now my Target has both of them, too.)
